Another upset was a game between Golden Bulls (14-10) and Monkey Kings (12-12), which took place in Jiangsu. Higher ranked Golden Bulls lost to thirteenth ranked Monkey Kings in a road game 91-102 on Wednesday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Monkey Kings made 7 blocks. It was a good game for American forward JJ Hickson (206-88, college: N.Carolina St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 20 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. Iranian forward Mohammad-Samad Nikkhah-Bahrami (199-83) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Monkey Kings players scored in double figures. American forward Jarnell Stokes (201-94, college: Tennessee) replied with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) added 27 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Golden Bulls. Golden Bulls' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Monkey Kings have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Shanghai S. Loser Golden Bulls dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Monkey Kings will face league's second-placed Flying Leopards in Yingkou in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
