Regular Season Round 22: Zilina - Levice 73-85

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Levice (16-6) beat on the road 9th ranked Zilina (4-18) 85-73. They outrebounded Zilina 41-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. Serbian forward Zarko Djuric (202-89) fired 20 points for the winners. Estonian guard Tanel Kurbas (197-88) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. American center Brandon Holcomb (201-93, college: Radford) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and his fellow American import point guard Walter Wright (178, college: Montana) added 10 points, 8 assists and 5 steals respectively for lost side. Four Levice and five Zilina players scored in double figures. Levice maintains third position with 16-6 record having just two points less than leader Inter Bratislava. Zilina lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with 18 games lost. Levice's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Kosice at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zilina will play against Prievidza (#5) and hope to win that game.
