Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Doha: Al Arabi (#2) and Al Sadd (#5). Al Arabi (9-2) smashed visiting Al Sadd (5-6) by 19 points 87-68. They outrebounded Al Sadd 41-25 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Arabi players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Oumar Seck (208-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and American forward Nick Stover (198-93, college: S.Alabama) who added 27 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Al Arabi players scored in double figures. Al Arabi's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American-Albanian forward Mike Moser (203-90, college: Oregon) with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and American Julius Coles (193-89, college: Canisius) scored 17 points and 6 assists. Al Arabi have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-2 record having just one point less than leader Al Gharafa. Al Sadd lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Al Rayyan. Al Arabi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Qatar Sports Club.
