The game in Rishon Le-Zion was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Galil Gilboa (7-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Maccabi Rishon (5-6). Galil Gilboa managed to secure a 5-point victory 88-83. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Maccabi Rishon won third quarter 29-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American power forward Zach LeDay (201-94, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard JCovan Brown (188-90, college: Texas, agency: 3Eye) contributed with 21 points and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Murphy Holloway (201-90, college: Mississippi) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and naturalized Romanian Yaniv Solomon (200-94) added 20 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi Rishon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Galil Gilboa have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 7-4 record. Maccabi Rishon at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Ironi Nahariya and Hapoel Eilat. Galil Gilboa will play against Maccabi Ashdod (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Maccabi Rishon will play against Maccabi Haifa and hopes to get back on the winning track.
