Regular Season Round 11: Ironi Nes-Ziona - Hapoel Eilat 69-85

The game with biggest result difference took place in Nes Ziyona. Local Ironi Nes-Ziona (3-8) lost to ninth ranked Hapoel Eilat (5-6) 85-69 on Thursday night. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-69. Hapoel Eilat outrebounded Ironi Nes-Ziona 42-25 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Hapoel Eilat especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Jordan Loyd (193-93, college: Indianapolis) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-91, college: Akron) helped adding 13 points and 12 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican guard Gary Browne (185-93, college: W.Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) responded with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and Nigerian power forward Talib Zanna (206-90, college: Pittsburgh, agency: 3Eye) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Ironi Nes-Ziona players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Eilat have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Maccabi Rishon and Ironi Nahariya. Newly promoted Ironi Nes-Ziona dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Hapoel Eilat will meet league's leader Maccabi T-A in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against Bnei Hasharon (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
