An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ramat Hen. Third ranked Maccabi Ramat Gan faced 4th placed Maccabi Raanana. Host Maccabi Ramat Gan (10-5) smashed guests from (8-7) 86-61. It was a great evening for international power forward Dannielle Diamant (196-91, college: Northwestern) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American power forward Bashaara Graves (188-94, college: Tennessee) helped adding 11 points and 14 rebounds. Five Maccabi Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Karisma Penn (188-91, college: Illinois) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import forward Ariel Edwards (190-92, college: Penn St., agency: ProDep Management) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Maccabi Raanana's coach Liron Sherf gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Maccabi Ramat Gan maintains third place with 10-5 record having just two points less than leader Maccabi Ashdod. Maccabi Raanana lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Elitzur Ramla and Hap.Petah Tikva. Maccabi Ramat Gan will meet league's leader Maccabi Ashdod on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Maccabi Raanana will play against B.Yehuda and hope to secure a win.
