The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Porvoon Tarmo's (3-10) road victory over 12th ranked Jarvenpaa (1-12) 88-74 on Friday. The game without a history. Porvoon Tarmo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Forward Juho Gummerus (201-97) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners and Joona Tuomala (197-97) chipped in 17 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Porvoon Tarmo players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Leo Tarjanne (190-95) responded with 17 points and 7 steals and forward Visa Tarjanne (194-93) scored 18 points. Jarvenpaa's coach Jarkko Lanu rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Porvoon Tarmo maintains eleventh place in Division with 3-10 record. Loser Jarvenpaa keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Porvoon Tarmo will face higher ranked Oulun NMKY (#9) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jarvenpaa will play against ToPo having rather not much hope for a victory.
