Regular Season Round 13: AIK Basket - Wetterbygden 82-91

An interesting game for Wetterbygden (10-4) which played road game in Solna against 3rd placed AIK Basket (9-4). Third ranked Wetterbygden managed to get a 9-point victory 91-82. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of AIK Basket. Wetterbygden made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game, while AIK Basket only scored eight points from the stripe. They outrebounded AIK Basket 39-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by AIK Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish guard Guim Exposito (197-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!). Cameroonian forward Franck Kouagnia (201-89) contributed with 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Olivier Ilunga (186-84, agency: Promotex) answered with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and Serbian forward Nemanja Jovanovic (198-91) added 17 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for AIK Basket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Wetterbygden maintains third place with 10-4 record having four points less than leader Djurgarden. AIK Basket at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Wetterbygden are looking forward to face Hogsbo (#6) in Goteborg in the next round. AIK Basket will play on the road against Trelleborg and is hoping to win this game.
