Regular Season Round 14: Tadamon - Moutahed 93-105

Bottom-ranked Tadamon (0-14) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 105-93 loss to sixth ranked Al Moutahed (7-7) in Zouk on Friday evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Tadamon's 34 and made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Al Moutahed looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Demarius Bolds (193-84, college: Missouri Western) who scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Power forward Darian Townes (208-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Bolds is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward John Bohannon (210-91, college: UTEP) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 22 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Patrick Rembert (185-89, college: Cal-Irvine) added 28 points and 11 assists respectively for the hosts. Al Moutahed moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Beirut Club. Loser Tadamon still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Al Moutahed will face higher ranked Champville (#3) in Dik El Mehdi in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tadamon will play at home against the league's leader Homenetmen (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
