Very important is a loss of third ranked Pauian (7-6) against fourth ranked Fubon Braves (6-5) on Friday night. Pauian was crushed by Fubon Braves 89-68. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Pauian's 40. Fubon Braves forced 23 Pauian turnovers. American center Garret Siler (213-86, college: Augusta) had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Tsung-Hsien Chang (192-87, college: BYU-Hawaii) chipped in 23 points, 5 assists and 6 steals during the contest. Four Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. At the losing side international power forward Quincy Davis (206-83, college: Tulane) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Douglas Creighton (196-85, college: Madonna) scored 8 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fubon Braves moved-up to third place, which they share with Dacin Tigers. Loser Pauian dropped to the second position with six games lost. Fubon Braves will meet bottom-ranked Taiwan Beer (#7) in the next round. Pauian will have a break next round.
