Very expected game when 18th ranked Gold Lions (4-20) lost on the road to eighth ranked Beijing Ducks (15-9) 106-98 on Friday. Beijing Ducks made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Lin Chang (206-88, college: Long Beach St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) replied with 38 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 8 assists (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!) and power forward Tian Lei (202) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Gold Lions. Five Beijing Ducks and four Gold Lions players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Beijing Ducks moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Xinjiang FT and Shenzhen L. Gold Lions lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth position with 20 games lost. Beijing Ducks will face Brave Dragons (#15) in Taiyuan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gold Lions will play at home against Sturgeons and hope to win that game.
