Regular Season Round 13: Valga - Rapla 76-100

The game between Top Four teams took place in Valga. Their biggest opponent host Valga (9-6) was smashed by third ranked Rapla (9-6) 100-76. The game was mostly controlled by Rapla. Valga was better in second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Valga's 36. American point guard Dominique Hawkins (183-94, college: Kentucky) nailed 25 points for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Nolan Cressler (195-94, college: Vanderbilt, agency: 3Eye) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Edgars Lasenbergs (189-95) came up with 14 points and Lithuanian point guard Ernestas Bruzas (183-96) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for Valga in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Valga's coach Kristaps Zeids gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Rapla. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Valga. Rapla will play against TTU (#7) in Tallinn in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Valga will play on the road against Noorteliiga (#8) in Tallinn and hopes to get back on the winning track.
