There was no surprise when 10th ranked KFUM Uppsala (1-12) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Visby Ladies (6-7) 77-73. They made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Visby Ladies outrebounded KFUM Uppsala 41-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. American guard Brandy Montgomery (178-95, college: Auburn) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). The other American import guard Nici Gilday (175-92, college: Santa Clara) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Visby Ladies players scored in double figures. American point guard Heather Butler (165-90, college: Tenn-Martin) replied with 31 points and 6 assists and the former international guard Agnes Nordstrom (180-88) added 11 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in the effort for KFUM Uppsala. Visby Ladies maintains fifth position with 6-7 record. KFUM Uppsala lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Visby Ladies will play against AIK Basket (#9) in Solna in the next round. KFUM Uppsala will play on the road against Norrkoping Dolphins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
