Regular Season Round 25: Tinguiririca S.F. - AB Ancud 87-90

Sixth-ranked Tinguiririca S.F. (5-21) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked AB Ancud (17-8) in San Fernando on Saturday. The visitors from Ancud managed to secure only three-point victory 90-87. However their fans expected much easier game. AB Ancud looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Sebastian Carrasco (180-0) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American center Arkeem Joseph (206-94, college: Texas A&M Int.) contributed with 24 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Howard Crawford (205-88, college: UAB) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Venezuelan forward Derwin Ramirez (191-82) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Tinguiririca S.F.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AB Ancud have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 17-8 record having just three points less than leader Los Leones. Tinguiririca S.F. lost fourteenth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 21 games lost. AB Ancud are looking forward to face Puente Alto (#5) on the road in the next round. Tinguiririca S.F. will play against CD Castro and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
