Regular Season Round 13: Picken Claret - Valencia 51-67

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Valencia: Valencia (#5) and Picken Claret (#7). Picken Claret was crushed at home by 16 points 51-67 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Valencia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Valencia forced 27 Picken Claret turnovers. Strangely Picken Claret outrebounded Valencia 44-32 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Irene Gari (185-94, college: Georgia Tech, agency: ProDep Management) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. Brazilian forward Isabela Ramona-Lyra (180-94) contributed with 14 points and 6 steals for the winners. American center Adijat Adams (188-92, college: Biola, CA, agency: ProDep Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and Sofia Galeron (186-99) added 15 points in the effort for Picken Claret. Valencia (9-3) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Real Canoe. Picken Claret at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Valencia is looking forward to face Adelantados (#5) in San Cristobal in the next round. Picken Claret will play at home against the league's second-placed Leganes and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
