No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Real Canoe (9-3) beat 12th ranked Adareva (2-11) in Laguna 66-55 on Saturday. The game without a history. Real Canoe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Real Canoe forced 23 Adareva turnovers. Quite impressive performance for point guard Gema Garcia (165-85, agency: ProDep Management) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Power forward Veronica Matoso (185-88, agency: ProDep Management) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Real Canoe players scored in double figures. American forward TyDesheaia Pool (185, college: SE Louisiana) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Ainara Ramasco (172-89) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Adareva. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Real Canoe. They moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Valencia. Adareva lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Real Canoe will face Magec Tias (#8) in Las Palmas in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Adareva will play on the road against Distrito Olimpico (#9) in Madrid and hope to win that game.
