Regular Season Round 27: Capitanes - Fuerza Regia 70-62

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Fuerza Regia (18-7) in Mexico on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Capitanes (16-9) 70-62. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Fuerza Regia. 25 personal fouls committed by Fuerza Regia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for the former international Hector Hernandez (205-85, college: Fresno St., agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican forward Emmanuel Andujar (198-93, college: Manhattan) helped adding 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Capitanes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and international forward Juan Toscano (198-93, college: Marquette, agency: BeoBasket) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Fuerza Regia's coach Paco Olmos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Capitanes moved-up to third place, which they share with Soles. Fuerza Regia at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. They share it with Mineros. Capitanes is again looking forward to face league's leader Fuerza Regia in Monterrey in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fuerza Regia will have a break next round.
