Regular Season Round 16: Real Canoe - Albacete 89-77

There was an upset in Madrid where higher ranked Albacete (10-6) was defeated by ninth ranked Real Canoe (8-8) 89-77 on Saturday. Albacete was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Real Canoe forced 20 Albacete turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Miguel Bustillo (184-89) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and forward Walter Cabral (200-95, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who added 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Real Canoe players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Tyler Livingston (198, college: Mass.-Lowell) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Javier Marin (194-86) scored 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Real Canoe maintains ninth position with 8-8 record, which they share with Myrtia. Loser Albacete dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. Real Canoe will face higher ranked HLA Alicante (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Albacete will play against Cambados and hope to win that game.
