Very expected game when 17th ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (5-11) lost to second ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (13-2) in Bischwiller 68-76. Gries/Oberhoffen made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Lourdes-Tarbes outrebounded Gries/Oberhoffen 38-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. Spanish guard Xavier Forcada (194-88) fired 25 points and 5 assists for the winners. Spanish forward Asier Zengotitabengoa (201-88) chipped in 19 points. The former international center Ludovic Vaty (206-88, college: Moraine Valley CC) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and Vincentian-Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Gries/Oberhoffen have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-2 record having just three points less than leader Saint Vallier. Lourdes-Tarbes at the other side dropped to the fourteenth place with 11 games lost. Gries/Oberhoffen's next round opponent will be Souffelweyersheim (#11) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against UB Chartres and hope to win that game.
