Regular Season Round 16: Lugo - Olginate 92-72

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Olginate (7-9) was smashed on the road by eleventh ranked Lugo (7-9) 92-72 on Saturday. Lugo forced 19 Olginate turnovers. Olginate was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Thomas Tinsley (191-96) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 5 assists. Guard Michele Rubbini (185-99) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Five Lugo players scored in double figures. Lugo's coach Gianluigi Galetti used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Giacomo Siberna (192-96) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Andrea Bassani (198-89) added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Olginate. Lugo moved-up to ninth place in B, which they share with Desio and Olginate. Lugo will face Palermo GB (#14) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
