Everything went according to plan in Sao Paulo where third ranked Vivo/Franca (9-3) won against 9th ranked Universo/Vitoria (6-7) 68-55. Vivo/Franca made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. The winners were led by the former international point guard Leandro Barbosa (190-82) who scored that evening 19 points and the former international forward Rafael de-Souza (208-88) supported him with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Vivo/Franca's coach Helinho Garcia used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 8 points and 11 rebounds by center Douglas Kurtz (213-87, college: Hawaii) did not help to save the game for Universo/Vitoria. The former international Andre Bresolin (195-87) added 12 points and 5 rebounds. Vivo/Franca have an impressive six-game winning streak.
