An interesting game took place in Albino where higher ranked Vicenza (10-4) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Albino (4-10) 53-48 on Saturday. Vicenza was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. British forward Shequila Joseph (190-95, college: Mississippi) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ilaria Bonvecchio (175-94) chipped in 5 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Bosnian Melisa Brcaninovic (190-99, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Francesca Santarelli (175-94) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Albino maintains twelfth position in A2 with 4-10 record. Loser Vicenza keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Albino will face higher ranked Marghera (#9) in Venezia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vicenza will play at home against Scrivia (#7) and hope to win that game.
