Date: January 6, 2018
Rather predictable result in Boom where fourth ranked Kangoeroes (11-5) smashed 7th ranked R.Spirou Monceau (6-9) 84-60. The game was mostly controlled by Kangoeroes. R.Spirou Monceau was better in second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded R.Spirou Monceau 34-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. Kangoeroes players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American-Cameroonian center Brittany Starling (183-94, college: USC Upstate) nailed 30 points and 7 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winning side and the former international Jana Raman (185-91) accounted for 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Kangoeroes' coach Gerrit Driessens felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Chloe Bully (173, college: Catawba) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian forward Andjelina Radic (187-94) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for R.Spirou Monceau in the defeat. Kangoeroes will play against bottom-ranked Verviers-Pep. (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. R.Spirou Monceau will play against Jeugd Gentson (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
