Regular Season Round 21: Liaoning - Shanghai 91-87

The game between second ranked Shanghai Dahua (16-5) and tenth ranked Liaoning Hengye (9-12) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Shanghai Dahua was defeated by Liaoning Hengye in a tough game in Anshan 87-91. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Shanghai Dahua. Liaoning Hengye forced 20 Shanghai Dahua turnovers. It was a good game for American power forward Elizabeth Williams (190-93, college: Duke) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Guard TingTing Wang (175-91) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Four Liaoning Hengye players scored in double figures. American forward Breanna Stewart (193-94, college: Connecticut) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and ShiChing Peng added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Shanghai Dahua. Liaoning Hengye moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Guangdong. Shanghai Dahua at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Xinjiang. Liaoning Hengye is looking forward to face league's second-placed Xinjiang in Urumqi in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shanghai Dahua will play on the road against Xing Rui in Taiyuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
