Regular Season Round 15: Grengewald - Amicale 69-71

Fifth-ranked Grengewald (6-7) made lots of trouble for first ranked Amicale (11-2) in Niederanven on Saturday. The visitors from Steinsel managed to secure only two-point victory 71-69. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Grengewald. The best player for the winners was American guard Erica Morrow (172-89, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) who had a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals. Naturalized Bosnian swingman Esmeralda Skrijelj (180-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Four Amicale players scored in double figures. American Morgan Pullins (183-93, college: St.Mary's, TX, agency: Two Points) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 20 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Cori Coleman (173-93, college: Cleveland St.) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-2 record. Newly promoted Grengewald keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Etzella. Amicale are looking forward to face league's second-placed Contern at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Grengewald will play against Etzella and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
