Regular Season Round 21: Jiangsu - Bayi 65-61

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Bayi Kylin's (10-11) road loss to fifth ranked Jiangsu Phoenix (12-9) in Yixing 61-65. Strangely Bayi Kylin outrebounded Jiangsu Phoenix 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Chen-Yan Xu who scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Na Jinwei (180-92) chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international center Mengran Sun (197-92) who recorded 21 points and forward Xue Wang (185-93) added 6 points and 11 rebounds respectively. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Jiangsu Phoenix. Newly promoted Jiangsu Phoenix maintains fifth place with 12-9 record. Bayi Kylin at the other side keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Jiangsu Phoenix's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Shaanxi Tianze (#14) and are hoping to win another game. Bayi Kylin will play against Whale (#11) in Sichuan and hope to win that game.
