Regular Season Round 15: Legia - PGE Turow 71-81

Bottom-ranked Legia (0-17) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 81-71 loss to fifth ranked PGE Turow (10-6) in Warszawa on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by PGE Turow. Legia managed to win third quarter 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for center Brad Waldow (208-91, college: St.Mary's, CA) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Cameron Ayers (196-91, college: Bucknell) helped adding 21 points and 4 steals. Four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Anthony Beane (188-94, college: S.Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Joseph Wall (199-89, college: Seattle Pacific, agency: Diamond Sports) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. PGE Turow maintains fifth place with 10-6 record. Newly promoted Legia still closes the standings. PGE Turow will meet at home Start (#8) in the next round. Legia will play against Czarni (#15) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
