Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Venafro (3-13) lost at home to sixth ranked Roma Luiss (11-5) 88-70 on Sunday. Roma Luiss dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Venafro's 36. Quite impressive performance for guard Leonardo Marcon (190-95) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Andrea Scuderi (188-92, agency: Players Group) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Naturalized Argentinian power forward Guillermo Laguzzi (204-82) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Marco Rossi (185-81, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Venafro. Five Roma Luiss and four Venafro players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Roma Luiss moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Lecco. Loser Venafro dropped to the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Roma Luiss will face Sestu (#8) at home in the next round. Venafro will play against Salerno (#4) and hope to win that game.
