Regular Season Round 13: KR - Stjarnan 85-70

Very predictable result in Reykjavik where second ranked KR (10-3) defeated 8th ranked Stjarnan (6-7) 85-70. KR dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Stjarnan's 40. It was a very good performance for international forward Kristofer Acox (198-93, college: Furman) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field). American forward Jalen Jenkins (201-94, college: George Mason) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four KR players scored in double figures. American forward Collin Pryor (198-90, college: Northern St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and the former international power forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Stjarnan. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for KR. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Haukar and IR. Stjarnan at the other side keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. KR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Reykjavik to the arena IR.
