Fourth ranked Tindastoll (9-4) crushed at home 10th ranked Valur (4-9) by 36 points 103-67, which is the biggest margin this round. The game without a history. Tindastoll led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Valur's 22. Tindastoll forced 28 Valur turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Antonio Hester (198-90, college: Mobile, AL) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 rebounds. International point guard Sigtryggur Arnar Bjornsson (180-93) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Hester is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Tindastoll players scored in double figures. Gunnar Hardarson (185-96, college: Belm.Abbey) answered with 26 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and American forward Urald King (198-90, college: SE Oklahoma) added 7 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Valur. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tindastoll maintains fourth place with 9-4 record. Valur lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. Tindastoll's next round opponent will be Thor AK (#11) in Akureyri and are hoping to win another game. Valur will play at home against Hottur and hope to win that game.
