Regular Season Round 13: Bisons Loimaa - Aalto-Basket 107-83

1st Division top team - Loimaan Korikonkarit (12-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Aalto-Basket (1-12) 107-83. The game was mostly controlled by Loimaan Korikonkarit. Aalto-Basket managed to win fourth quarter 31-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Loimaan Korikonkarit forced 19 Aalto-Basket turnovers and had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. American forward Josh Caldwell (203, college: William Penn) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Rasmus Marttinen (191-97) chipped in 18 points and 9 assists. Caldwell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Loimaan Korikonkarit players scored in double figures. Coach Arttu Mannelin's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Oliver Kaisti produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and Atte Lohman added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Loimaan Korikonkarit maintains first place in Division with 12-1 record. Aalto-Basket at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Loimaan Korikonkarit will meet Espoo Basket (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aalto-Basket will play against Aanekosken Huima and hope to win that game.
