Regular Season Round 13: Kagoshima - Aisin AW 100-93

The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Kagoshima's (7-7) home victory over 7th ranked Aisin AW (5-9) in Renova 100-93 on Sunday. Kagoshima shot 64.4 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Kagoshima especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Chris Olivier (203-92, college: Oklahoma St.) contributed with 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Ikishima Ikejima (188-94) answered with 29 points and 7 rebounds and center Eve Nyokozera (199-93) added 12 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Aisin AW. Four Kagoshima and five Aisin AW players scored in double figures. Kagoshima have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 7-7 record. Aisin AW lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Kagoshima will face league's second-placed Tokyo Excel. at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aisin AW will play against the league's leader Tokyo HT (#1) and hope to win that game.
