Regular Season Round 12: Ironi Nes-Ziona - Bnei Hertzeliya 82-86

Bottom-ranked Bnei Hasharon managed to get a third victory, breaking the five-game losing streak on Sunday night. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona in Nes Ziyona 86-82. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ironi Nes-Ziona won fourth quarter 29-27. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bnei Hasharon made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Bnei Hasharon had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Ironi Nes-Ziona helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. American-Georgian point guard Taurean Green (184-85, college: Florida) contributed with 28 points and 5 assists for the winners. American swingman Daequan Cook (196-87, college: Ohio St.) replied with 21 points and Nigerian power forward Talib Zanna (206-90, college: Pittsburgh, agency: 3Eye) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Ironi Nes-Ziona. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bnei Hasharon (3-9) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with defeated Ironi Nes-Ziona. Ironi Nes-Ziona lost third consecutive game. Bnei Hasharon is looking forward to face league's leader Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play on the road against Galil Gilboa (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
