Regular Season Round 16: Perugia - Matera 88-82

There was an upset when higher ranked Matera (8-8) lost on the road to fifteenth ranked Perugia (4-12) 88-82 on Sunday. Perugia looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Matera's players. Matera was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for guard Matteo Orlandi (194-91) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 assists (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!). Point guard Edoardo Casuscelli (180-89) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Perugia players scored in double figures. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Franco Migliori (200-82) replied with 26 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and swingman Leonardo Battistini (198-95) added 22 points in the effort for Matera. Perugia maintains fifteenth position in B with 4-12 record. Loser Matera dropped to the eighth place with eight games lost. Perugia will face league's second-placed Campli on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
