Regular Season Round 15: BM Slam Stal - AZS Koszalin 80-83 OT

AZS Koszalin (5-11) survived in overtime against BM Slam Stal (8-7) by three points 83-80. The game took place in Ostrow Wlkp.. But the guests from Koszalin were better at the end. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BM Slam Stal. BM Slam Stal was ahead by 8 points at the halftime before a 26-12 third quarter run of AZS Koszalin. They tied the game at the end of regular time. Then they were better in overtime eventually winning that period 14-11. AZS Koszalin made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian power forward Aleksandar Marelja (207-92, agency: BeoBasket) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. American point guard Diante Baldwin (183-94, college: NC-Greensboro) accounted for 11 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Five AZS Koszalin players scored in double figures. American point guard Aaron Johnson (173-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) came up with 7 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and the former international center Adam Lapeta (217-87, agency: Alti Sport) added 15 points respectively for BM Slam Stal in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. AZS Koszalin maintains fourteenth place with 5-11 record. BM Slam Stal at the other side dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. AZS Koszalin's next round opponent will be league's leader Anwil in Wloclawek and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
