LigaA top team - San Lorenzo (7-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat nineteenth ranked Salta Basket (1-7) in Almagra 77-70. Strangely Salta Basket outrebounded San Lorenzo 39-26 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Cuban center Javier Justiz (205-92, agency: Pro Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. American-Jordanian Dar Tucker (193-88, college: De Paul) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side the former international point guard Diego Gerbaudo (178-89) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and American guard Ricky Harris (187-87, college: Massachusetts) scored 18 points. San Lorenzo maintains first place with 7-1 record. Salta Basket lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. They share it with Comunicaciones. San Lorenzo will play against Hispano Am. (#14) in Rio Gallegos in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Salta Basket will play at home against Quimsa (#9) to get more than just one victory in their record.
