Regular Season Round 12: Maccabi T-A - Hapoel Eilat 82-63

Winner League top team - Maccabi T-A (10-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Hapoel Eilat (5-7) in Tel-Aviv 82-63. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hapoel Eilat. The game without a history. Maccabi T-A led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. Worth to mention a quality performance of Australian power forward Jonah Bolden (208-96, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks and American point guard Pierre Jackson (180-91, college: Baylor) who added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Jordan Loyd (193-93, college: Indianapolis) with 24 points and his fellow American import forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-91, college: Akron) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi T-A maintains first position with 10-2 record. Hapoel Eilat at the other side dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Ironi Nahariya and Maccabi Ashdod. Maccabi T-A will play against Bnei Hasharon (#11) in Hod Hasharon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Eilat will play at home against Hapoel Holon (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
