No shocking result in a game when second ranked Tapiolan Honka (13-1) crushed at home 8th ranked Forssan Alku (4-10) 107-64. The game without a history. Tapiolan Honka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tapiolan Honka outrebounded Forssan Alku 46-35 including a 41-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Forssan Alku's players. Tapiolan Honka brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American guard Kiana Johnson (171-93, college: Virginia Union) had a triple-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Heta Korpivaara (185-84, college: Seton Hall) chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Tapiolan Honka players scored in double figures. Tapiolan Honka's coach Kimmo Kujansivu felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Mia Loyd (180-94, college: N.Dakota) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Minna Sten (190-87) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Tapiolan Honka have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Catz. Forssan Alku lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with ten games lost. Tapiolan Honka will play against Kouvottaret (#6) in Kouvola in the next round where they are favorite. Forssan Alku will play at home against the league's leader Catz Lappeenranta and hopes to get back on the winning track.
