We should mention about the upset which took place in Valladolid, where higher ranked Blancos de Rueda (9-8) lost at home to fifteenth ranked Palma (6-11) 84-89. The guests were ahead by 11 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 18-12 run, which allowed them to win the game. Palma shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Point guard Carles Bivia (189-85) nailed 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and forward Joan Tomas (202-92) accounted for 11 points and 4 assists. American guard Henri Wade-Chatman (188-92, college: Edinboro) came up with 19 points and 9 assists and center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) added 23 points respectively for Blancos de Rueda in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Palma moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with FC Barcelona II. Newly promoted Blancos de Rueda keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Palma's next round opponent will be higher ranked CB Prat (#3) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
