Very expected game when 11th ranked Isa Town (2-14) was smashed by sixth ranked Al-Najma (11-6) in Manama 115-86. Al-Najma dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Isa Town's 48. They outrebounded Isa Town 44-31 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al-Najma players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Isa Town's players. Mohammed Bullay fired 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Haminn Quaintance (203-85, college: Kent St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Four Al-Najma players scored in double figures. Sayed-Mohammed Habib produced 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Mahmood Aziz added 22 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al-Najma maintains sixth place with 11-6 record. Isa Town lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Al-Najma's next round opponent will be higher ranked Al-Hala (#4) in Muharraq and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Isa Town will play at home against Al-Muharraq (#3) and hope to win that game.
