There was no surprise in Auckland where 5th ranked Cairns Taipans (9-12) were defeated by third ranked New Zealand Breakers (12-6) 82-69 on Sunday. New Zealand Breakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Dominican-American point guard Edgar Sosa (190-88, college: Louisville) fired 19 points and 6 assists for the winners.
