Very expected game when 10th ranked Aanekosken (1-13) was smashed by sixth ranked Kouvottaret (6-8) in Aanekoski 94-63. The game was mostly controlled by Kouvottaret. Aanekosken was better in fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kouvottaret players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American point guard Brittany Carter (183-93, college: Illinois) had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Kaisa Lind (180-87) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Kouvottaret players scored in double figures. American swingman Jazmine Perkins (178-89, college: Washington St.) responded with 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and her fellow American import forward Tyler Gilbert (185-94, college: Houston) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kouvottaret maintains sixth position with 6-8 record. Aanekosken lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Kouvottaret will play against league's second-placed Tapiolan Honka at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aanekosken will play against Espoo Team (#7) to get more than just one victory in their record.
