Leader Real Madrid delivered the fourteenth victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 15th ranked Joventut (4-10) 84-66 in Badalona. The game was mostly controlled by Real Madrid. Joventut managed to win second period 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Joventut to just 6 points in first quarter. It was a great evening for swingman Santiago Yusta (200-97) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. American forward Trey Thompkins (208-90, college: Georgia) helped adding 11 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Belarusian-American point guard Maalik Wayns (185-91, college: Villanova) with 22 points and Jamaican center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Real Madrid (14-1) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place. Joventut lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth position with ten games lost.
