Regular Season Round 15: King - Trefl 95-82

There was no surprise in Szczecin where 12th ranked Trefl (7-9) was defeated by seventh ranked Wilki Morskie (10-7) 95-82 on Monday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 16-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-82. The best player for the winners was American point guard Carlos Medlock (183-87, college: E.Michigan) who scored 28 points. Lithuanian Tauras Jogela (202-93, agency: Players Group) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Four Wilki Morskie players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Jermaine Love-Roberts (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import center Steve Zack (211-92, college: La Salle) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Wilki Morskie moved-up to sixth place. Trefl lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. Wilki Morskie will face Polpharma (#11) in Starogard Gdanski in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Trefl will play on the road against Stelmet Enea BC in Zielona Gora and hope to win that game.
