Regular Season Round 22: Shanxi XR - Shanghai 96-64

The most important game in the last round took place in Taiyuan between third ranked Shanghai Dahua (16-6) and fourth ranked Xing Rui (16-6) on Monday night. Shanghai Dahua was crushed by Xing Rui on the road 96-64. Xing Rui dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Shanghai Dahua's 36 and made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Shanghai Dahua 54-26 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Bahamas center Jonquel Jones (198-94, college: G.Washington) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 21 rebounds and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and the former international center Wei Wei (206-89) who added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Xing Rui players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Jing Huang (183-85) with 17 points and Yingyun Li scored 8 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Xing Rui moved-up to third place, which they share with Shanghai. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
