Regular Season Round 8: Weber Bahia - Argentino 85-78

The most important game in the last round took place in Bahia Blanca between third ranked Argentino (5-4) and twelfth ranked Weber Bahia (5-4) on Tuesday night. Argentino was defeated by Weber Bahia in a tough game on the road 78-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Argentino. They outrebounded Argentino 41-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Weber Bahia looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international Maximo Fjellerup (198-97) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and international Juan-Pablo Vaulet (198-96) who added 10 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Weber Bahia players scored in double figures. Weber Bahia's coach Sebastian Ginobili used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and guard Luciano Massarelli (183-93) scored 21 points and 5 assists. Weber Bahia have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Obras Basket and Argentino. Weber Bahia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Argentino will play at home against Estudiantes C. (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
