Regular Season Round 23: Pyrinto - Espoo United 92-96

Another exciting game for Espoo United (10-12) which played on the court of 4th placed Tampereen Pyrinto (12-9). Eighth ranked Espoo United won 96-92. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tampereen Pyrinto. The guests were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 28-21 Tampereen Pyrinto's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 96-92 at the end of the game. Espoo United shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for power forward Jervon Pressley (203-95, college: Hampton) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Jeb Ivey (190-80, college: Portland St.) helped adding 19 points and 9 assists. Five Espoo United players scored in double figures. Swingman Kenny Manigault (196-91, college: Pikeville) responded with 28 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and guard JuanYa Green (188-92, college: Hofstra, agency: 3Eye) scored 28 points and 5 assists. Newly promoted Espoo United maintains eighth place with 10-12 record. Tampereen Pyrinto at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Espoo United will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tampereen Pyrinto will play at home against BC Nokia (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
