Regular Season Round 24: Zilina - Inter Bratislava 94-102

Leader Inter Bratislava delivered the twenty first victory. This time they beat 9th ranked Zilina (4-20) 102-94. Inter Bratislava players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for Serbian Nemanja Barac (194-90, agency: 011 Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international center Michal Batka (204-87) contributed with 28 points and 9 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners. American point guard Walter Wright (178, college: Montana) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 assists and 5 steals and his fellow American import center Brandon Holcomb (201-93, college: Radford) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Zilina. Four Inter Bratislava and five Zilina players scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava (21-2) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Zilina lost twelfth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with 20 games lost. Inter Bratislava will play against Kosice (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Zilina will play against Iskra Svit (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
