Regular Season Round 13: Flamengo - L.Sorocaba 82-67

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Flamengo (9-2) defeated 14th ranked Liga Sorocaba (2-11) in Rio de Janeiro 82-67 on Thursday. Flamengo made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The former international Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) nailed 27 points for the winning side and Dominican-American guard Ronald Ramon (183-86, college: Pittsburgh) accounted for 20 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Center Lucao Moraes (210-94) came up with 20 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and the former international power forward William Drudi (206-81) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Liga Sorocaba in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Flamengo. They moved-up to fourth place. Liga Sorocaba lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Campo Mourao. Flamengo's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Rio de Janeiro Botafogo F.R..
