Regular Season Round 15: Jamtland - Nassjo 79-82

The most exciting game of round 15 in the Basketligan took place in Ostersund. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th ranked KFUM Jamtland (7-8) to eighth ranked Nassjo (3-10) 82-79 on Friday evening. Nassjo made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for French forward Thomas Tshikaya (201-92, college: Angelo St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Angelo Griffis (196-92, college: Rochester, MI) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Five Nassjo players scored in double figures. Estonian swingman Jaan Puidet (191-92) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American center William Paul (208-88, college: Arkansas Tech) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for KFUM Jamtland. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Nassjo maintains eighth place with 3-10 record. KFUM Jamtland lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Nassjo are looking forward to face higher ranked Boras Basket (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KFUM Jamtland will play against Sodertalje Kings and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
